The Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) will current the world premiere of a night of dance to the music of Burt Bacharach – The Look of Love –that includes authentic choreography by Mark Morris and new musical preparations by Ethan Iverson. The evening-length compilation of greater than a dozen Bacharach hits, might be carried out by firm dancers accompanied by the MMDG Music Ensemble, consisting of piano, trumpet, bass and percussion, with lead vocals by singer, actress and Broadway star Marcy Harriell.

This co-commissioning mannequin allows entities of varied sizes and scope to collectively present the monetary sources essential to carry large-scale productions to the stage, whereas partnering with a prestigious cohort of presenting establishments and sharing within the legacy of a Morris world premiere.

The Look of Love can have its world premiere on Friday, October 20, at BroadStage in Santa Monica, CA, with subsequent performances to observe at main performing arts facilities worldwide. The premiere of The Look of Love may even launch MMDG’s 2022-23 Season.
