James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water has a massive budget.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Avatar: The Way of Water‘s budget is in “the $350 million to $400 million range,” making it one of the most expensive Hollywood productions of all time. The figure doesn’t include marketing costs.
Early tracking numbers for Avatar: The Way of Water are pointing towards a great opening weekend for the movie. It’s currently on track to earn somewhere between $150 million to $170 million when it opens in theaters this December.

In more Pandora-related news, Avatar: The Way of Water has received a PG-13 rating by the Motion Picture Association Of America. The rating is a result of “sequences of strong violence and intense action, partial nudity and some strong language.”
The final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water made its debut on Sunday night, announcing that tickets for the movie are now on sale. The Way of Water is one of James Cameron‘s longest movies to date, clocking in at around 3 hours and 10 minutes.
“Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure” according to Disney’s official synopsis for the film.
